Pipedrive review 2026: real pricing, hidden limits, and who it actually suits
Pipedrive's pipeline is the clearest thing in its price bracket. Its pricing is the least clear. Here is every tier limit, every add-on cost, and the plan trap most buyers miss.

At a glance
- Pipeline and deal management
- The best thing about it. Works properly even on the $14 plan.
- Ease of use
- Easy to start, harder to run. 574 G2 reviews call it easy, 118 report a steep learning curve.
- Email and communication
- The weak spot. No email sync at all on Lite; it starts at $39.
- Automation
- None on Lite, 50 workflows on Growth. Enough for most small teams, thin for real branching logic.
- Pricing and value
- The add-ons are the trap. Top complaint on G2, cited in 230 reviews.
- Reporting
- Capped at 15 reports on Lite. Workable from Growth up.
- Support
- Good most of the time. Phone support needs Premium, on European hours.

The deals cap multiplies by seat count and tops out at 300,000 across the account. Two things Pipedrive does not publish anywhere we could find: storage limits and pipeline counts per plan. The old storage article now redirects to the knowledge base homepage with the figures gone. If either matters, get it in writing before you sign.
Feature by feature
This is what Pipedrive is for and it is genuinely good. The drag-and-drop kanban is the clearest visual pipeline at this price, and it is what users mention more than anything else. On G2, 200 reviews single out visual deal tracking and 208 mention lead management. One Capterra reviewer described it as "like a chessboard where each piece represents sales opportunity", which is better than anything in Pipedrive's own marketing.
Deal management works properly on Lite, which matters. Plenty of CRMs cripple their entry plan. Pipedrive does not do that here.
The limitation is the data model, not the interface. Pipedrive assumes one deal, one organisation, one person. Users on TrustRadius list "linking more than one organization to a person" as a con, and G2 carries complaints about the "limited ability to link multiple organizations to single project". If you sell into groups, holding companies or multi-site accounts, test this specifically during your trial. It is the kind of thing you discover in month four.
This is where Pipedrive gets expensive, and it is the single most important thing to understand before you buy.
Lite, the $14 plan that anchors all the advertising, has no email sync. Not limited sync. None. You log email by BCCing an address into the deal, manually, every time. Templates, signatures, open and click tracking, group email and scheduling all start at Growth, which is $39.
So the real entry price for a CRM that logs your email automatically is $39 per seat, not $14. That is a 179% jump, and it is why so many reviews read like ambushes.
Even above Lite the email experience draws fire. Users report that "emails don't always attach to deals when sent in Google Mail" and that the "email interface inside Pipedrive isn't that good". G2 logs 108 reviews specifically about Google Calendar integration problems, plus 67 on email management and 53 on email issues. That is a pattern, not a handful of unlucky accounts. Telephony is not built in at all.
None on Lite. Fifty workflows on Growth, 150 on Premium, 250 on Ultimate. Branching is rationed harder: three if/else conditions on Growth, 10 on Premium, 20 on Ultimate.
When it works, people like it. "Task automation is a lifesaver, saves tons of time" is representative. The complaints are about depth and setup rather than reliability: "does not have the same level of automation as HubSpot" from TrustRadius, "setting up automations can be unintuitive" from Capterra. Fifty workflows is enough for most small teams. Three if/else conditions is not, if you have any real branching logic.
Fifteen Insights reports on Lite. That number tells you what Pipedrive thinks Lite is for, and it is not running a team.
Reporting is the second most consistent complaint after price and it appears on all three review platforms. Users say "advanced reporting and analytics customization feel somewhat limited" and that "reports are mostly basic, cross-specific data needs external tools". The pattern is that Pipedrive reports what happened in your pipeline well enough and struggles the moment you want to slice it differently.
Both apps exist and are actively maintained. The Android app has over 500,000 downloads and was updated on 27 July 2026. The iOS app was updated within a week of the Android release.
Maintained is not the same as good. The App Store rating is 3.8 against 4.4 on Google Play, and the written feedback is blunt: "mobile app not as powerful as web version", "mobile version is hard to navigate, rarely use it". If your reps work from phones, trial it on phones. The business card scanner is on every tier, which is a nice touch.
AI is better distributed than the price ladder suggests. Import assistance, report creation, marketplace search and business card scanning are on every plan including Lite. The features worth paying for, email drafting and summarisation, need Premium at $59. One gap worth flagging: Pipedrive publishes no AI usage allowance or credit cap anywhere we could find. Most vendors now state a monthly credit count. An unpublished limit is still a limit.
Credit where due: Pipedrive's trust center names Anthropic and AWS as the subprocessors behind its AI features, and Recall.ai for meeting intelligence. That is more transparency than most vendors offer.
Security is strong. ISO/IEC 27001:2022, ISO/IEC 27701, SOC 2 Type 2, SOC 3, GDPR, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension, plus DORA and EU Data Act alignment. Data sits on AWS across seven regions. The caveat is that you do not choose which: Pipedrive assigns your region by origin, and its own documentation tells you to contact support to find out where your data sits. No HIPAA and no PCI DSS appeared anywhere we looked.
What Pipedrive
really costs
| Plan | Annual, per seat/mo | Billed as | Monthly, per seat/mo |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | $14 | $168 per seat/yr | $24 |
| Growth | $39 | $468 per seat/yr | $49 |
| Premium | $59 | $708 per seat/yr | $79 |
| Ultimate | $79 | $948 per seat/yr | $99 |
| Add-on | From | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| LeadBooster | $32.50/mo | Chatbot, live chat, web forms, Prospector, 10 lead credits a month |
| Smart Docs | $32.50/mo | Quotes, proposals, e-signatures |
| Web Visitors | $41/mo | Identifies companies visiting your site. Scales with traffic |
| Campaigns | $13.33/mo | Email marketing |
| Projects | $16/mo | Post-sale project delivery |
Web Visitors is the one to watch, because it scales by traffic: $49 a month for up to 200 identified organisations, $99 up to 500, $299 up to 2,000. That is a line item that grows when your marketing works.

Growth plus add-ons
$39
per month
Cheaper option, per year
$468
billed annually
Bigin Premier, same seats
$12
per month
With no bundled add-ons selected, Growth is the cheaper plan at $39 a month. Worth knowing what you give up: 50 automations instead of 150, three if/else conditions instead of 10, 50 reports instead of 250, no phone support and no 24/7 chat.
Where the crossover sits, so you can check our working: add-ons are a flat monthly cost and seats are not, so Premium wins on small teams and Growth wins on larger ones. With LeadBooster and Smart Docs, the tipping point is between three and four seats. Change the seat count above and the calculator will tell you which side you are on.
Worth knowing: Pipedrive does not publish whether add-ons bill per seat or per company. We have modelled them per company, which is how third-party reviewers report LeadBooster pricing. If they bill per seat, Growth plus add-ons costs dramatically more and the case for Premium gets stronger, not weaker.
What real users say
"The visual pipeline makes it straightforward to track deals."
G2, Small business reviewer
"High costs of add-on features and missing basic functionalities."
G2
"Feature was suddenly removed and locked behind more expensive plan."
Capterra
"Emails don't always attach to deals when sent in Google Mail."
G2
"Support kept insisting on impossible options, made up incorrect answers."
G2
Worth being fair about that last one. Support appears in both columns of Pipedrive's G2 profile: 179 reviews praise it and a smaller number describe experiences like the one above. The honest summary is that Pipedrive's support is good most of the time and occasionally very bad, which is true of most software and worth knowing anyway.
Most praised, by review count on G2
Most criticised, by review count on G2
Add-on cost is the top complaint by volume. It is also the one thing every professional reviewer independently converges on. When 230 paying customers and five separate publications all say the same thing, it is not a perception problem.
How Pipedrive compares
| CRM | Best for | From | G2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pipedrive | Deal-led sales teams who want a visual pipeline | $14/seat/mo | 4.3/5 |
| Bigin by Zoho CRM | Small teams needing email, sales, calling and task management features on a budget | $0, then $7 | 4.6/5 |
| HubSpot | Teams needing marketing and sales in one place | Free, then paid | 4.4/5 |
| Salesforce Starter | Teams planning to grow into the Salesforce ecosystem | $25 | 4.5/5 |
Verdict
Pipedrive is a good pipeline tool with an uncomfortable price structure.
The core product deserves its reputation. The visual pipeline is the clearest in its bracket, deal management works properly even on the cheapest plan, and a new rep gets it immediately. Three thousand-odd reviewers averaging 4.3 on G2 are not wrong.
The problem is the shape of the pricing. The $14 plan that anchors every ad has no email sync, no automations and 15 reports, which makes it a deal tracker rather than a CRM for most teams. The real entry point is $39, and if you need lead capture and documents you should be on the $59 plan, which as we showed above costs less than the $39 plan with add-ons bolted on. That is a confusing thing to discover after you have bought.
So: worth it if you have a dedicated sales team, a defined stage-by-stage process, budget for Premium, and your email and marketing handled elsewhere. Hard to recommend if you are price-sensitive and need email sync, which describes a very large share of the small businesses who click on a $14 CRM.
Where Bigin wins
Why this South African company picked Bigin
after evaluating Pipedrive
Jan Tukker, COO of GMS Systems, evaluated Pipedrive before choosing a CRM and found the pricing too high for the company's needs. Comparing the two on web and mobile, Jan found Bigin more intuitive. The turning point was Bigin's automation: notifications now fire when deals reach key stages, and the engineering, design, and implementation teams are automatically looped in. That shift helped cut internal emails by 70% and lift team productivity by approximately 30%. Results as reported by GMS Systems. Read the full story

The entry price
Bigin has a free plan: one user, 500 records, telephony included. Paid plans run $7 to $18 per user per month billed annually. Pipedrive starts at $14 with no free plan, and its first plan with email sync is $39.
Email and WhatsApp from $7
Bigin Express includes email, WhatsApp integration, mass emails and customisable dashboards at $7 per user per month. Pipedrive's cheapest plan that syncs your inbox costs more than five times that.
Calls work out of the box
Every Bigin plan, including the free one, has built-in telephony: make, receive and record calls inside the CRM, with third-party telephony integrations on top. Pipedrive has no built-in telephony at any price.
Users rate it higher
Bigin scores 4.6 on G2 from 861 reviews and 4.7 on Capterra from 734, against Pipedrive's 4.3 and 4.5. On Capterra's sub-scores, Bigin leads on ease of use, 4.8 to 4.5, and on customer service, 4.5 to 4.4.
Published limits, and an open exit
Bigin states its AI credit allowances outright, 1,000 a month on Premier and 3,000 on Bigin 360, where Pipedrive publishes none. The trial runs 15 days and ends in the free plan rather than a locked account. And there is a money-back guarantee, 30 days on monthly billing and 45 on annual, which we could not find an equivalent for at Pipedrive.
The fastest way to check any of this is the product itself.
Bigin's free plan does not expire.
Frequently asked questions
Four plans, billed annually: Lite at $14 per seat per month, Growth at $39, Premium at $59, Ultimate at $79. Monthly billing costs more. Add-ons like LeadBooster and Smart Docs start around $32.50 a month each and are included free on Premium and Ultimate.
No. There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial that does not require a card.
Yes, but not on Lite. Two-way email sync starts on the Growth plan at $39 per seat per month. On Lite you log email manually by BCC.
Yes, through the marketplace. Pipedrive claims 500-plus integrations including QuickBooks, Xero, Gmail, Slack, Mailchimp and Zapier.
Pipedrive's trust center lists ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27701, SOC 2 Type 2, SOC 3, GDPR and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We found no HIPAA certification listed. If you handle protected health information, confirm directly with Pipedrive.
Export deals, contacts, organisations, activities and notes as separate files before you cancel, since access ends with the subscription. Users describe export as complex, and bulk operations are limited to around 10,000 records a day. Verify your custom fields transferred.
Cancel in billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current cycle and we found no money-back guarantee, so time it accordingly. Removing seats also only takes effect at the next billing cycle.
Small to mid-sized businesses with a dedicated sales team and a defined stage-by-stage process, typically five to 50 seats, with email and marketing handled by other tools.
By review volume on G2: add-on costs (230 reviews), limited features (151), a steep learning curve (118), Google Calendar integration problems (108) and general pricing (102). Reporting depth and mobile app quality come up repeatedly too.
For a sales team on Premium with a defined pipeline, yes. For a price-sensitive small business that needs email sync, the value case is weak, because the $14 plan does not include it and the real entry price is $39 or more.
It depends on what pushed you away. If it was price and email gating, look at Bigin. If you need marketing and sales together, look at HubSpot. If you plan to scale into a large ecosystem, look at Salesforce Starter. We review all three in this folder.
